Both of those would be in the .scnr tag To get the original skybox, go under the Sky References block and change it to levels\multi\forge_halo\sky_halo\sky_halo To disable rain, find the Weather block and just null the tagref

    So I have had issues with just about everything relating to Campaign Injection (injected content myself and even Club Errera map by gamecheat crashed). After building a clean ISO off the disc and trying to do a NoTU patch onto a clean build the map still didn't load, so I WAS going to try and do a title update but the site for TU's are down. Is there anywhere else I can get Title Updates?
  4. I have been having quite a bit of trouble, and after searching on google, I feel like the only one with this problem. So here is the problem: After attempting to load up example.scenario in H2 Sapien, here is what happens first: And then after it loads fully, Note at the bottom-right, when I hold my mouse over the Sapien icon, and no matter how many times I click it, nothing ever appears. It loaded once quite a few months ago, after my initial purchase of Halo 2 Vista. And if you couldn't tell already, i'm on Windows 7, not Vista. And yes, I tried loading it in compatibility mode for Vista, Vista SP1, and Vista SP2. And running as administrator. So, any suggestions?

  6. Forge World Ultimate Edition now at v4.1 - with some issues. Gonna be blunt, I don't really know how to continue at this point. Every iteration at this point has continued to reach a point where I am unable to inject a single thing without things breaking. V3 suffered from this hence the rewrite, and now v4 is suffering from the same issues. Brutes were working before, but now no longer function for no clear reason. What ends up happening is that as a result of the inability to make progress I end up redoing everything, running into the exact same issues, and getting discouraged. If any of you guys have any idea what exactly is causing this (and how to prevent it) I'm all ears. On top of that, I am about to graduate from high school and start my own game company (which I will link to if the admins are cool with it). I have an incredibly ambitious project planned to start my company off with - a fan-made Halo project, similar to Contingency and Installation 01. My ideas are a great deal more ambitious than theirs, however - namely with the engine, as I plan to use being a custom engine as opposed to using something like Unreal or Unity. Granted, the nature and scale of this project is massive and will absolutely take a good while to complete, but also unlike the other Halo fan projects, my plan is to actually keep the team mostly together and continue to create games beyond just Halo fan projects. So, yeah. That's the status of v4.1 of the map, as well as basically my life and future goals at the moment. Screenshots and downloads will be posted either tomorrow or the next day, so stay tuned!   7. Anyone know where I could find some halfway decent places to start learning C++ (preferably in context with 3D stuffs)? I am in the process of creating a game engine from scratch (which will be an endeavor) and I've not had a lot of luck in terms of finding good stuff to learn it online. Also if anyone happens to be interested in working with me on this project feel free to PM me about it and we can go from there (but the project may be a bit of a doozy so be prepared), though I am mainly interested in the first point.

  10. REQ weapons are very iffy, as I have had zero luck with custom bitmap injection and i also don't know at what point the map will start breaking down and causing crashes. As for the capital ship, it was from m45.
  11. Its a full rebuild, stuffs are to be added. Most of the content is actually in the .map already, but just isnt setup in forge menus. Plus the old custom weapons were more or less just thrown in. Cant promise a ton of consistency with updates as i'm attempting to write a game engine while learning C++ at the same time (the formula for success amirite)

    Well, it's that time again. A third rebuild of Forerunner.map which still fails to live up to the name in any way shape or form! Also trying to learn some amount of programming and start developing games. *This is uncertain, may or may not happen*WARNING: Upon the map's final release, the current forge menu layout will be merged into the default Forge palette. This will cause any maps created prior to break (assuming they work between updates). Because of this, there will be a version immediately before the forge menu redo with the final feature set to let those who have maps already to play them, and the MapID *may* be changed for the final release. tl;dr, It isn't happening. Forge as you please. Please be aware that I will not be making every version available for download.   18. If you go down, you will find multiple props menus. Apparently Reach has limits to the amount of objects that display in a forge menu so I had to create a second prop menu (More Props)
  19. Halo 2 Vista servers shut down from what I know. As for patching, yes. If you both have the map patched with the same mods, and you can manage to connect via some kind of tunneling thing (ie, Hamachi) you should be able to play together perfectly fine.
  20. The effects are currently unfinished. I had to put the banshee sound on the seraph due to the lack of proper sound injection from campaign (as such, assembly ignores sounds) The reason you can control players is due to the fact that the spartan and elite bipeds have seats, and since your player is the biped.... well yeah. I do think I know a way to fix it however. Be sure to check v3.8 Also the frigate is actually considered a prop (a large one but still) since it is not (yet) drivable. The turrets on the frigate can be operated currently, just the HUD string doesn't show up.

  22. I found out i was retarded and had one of the flags left on that kept players from entering. Phantom and Spirit are both drivable, and Hunters will be added next - along with some other injection stuff. But this may be some of the last injection, unless there are further suggestions. As for AI I mentioned before that they cannot do anything besides look and shoot. If you have a way to get them to walk around or do something I'd be happy to add them. As for your AI issues, I never had a problem like that. Usually assembly ignores existing tags when injecting..
  23. I attempted BSP injection and the 500-ish MB filesize broke the map on every attempt But yeah I have been looking and since some maps are plenty bigger than 300mb. I plan to get anything suggested and most/all of the 'Planned Features' content added. (Now if only I could scale phmo I could really get nuts with terrain ) Also does anyone know how to fix the seats on Phantoms/Spirits?

  25. I have been having some trouble with SP to MP conversions, not entirely sure what to do from here. I injected the MULG and WGTZ from forge_halo into m50. At first I missed WGTZ and the game loaded, but crashed after a few seconds: I then looked around to see if anyone else attempted such a thing and put WGTZ in. I also changed Singleplayer to Multiplayer in ZONE as well. This ended up worsening the problem apparently by crashing earlier on: Any ideas/help is much appreciated.
