No idea how to go about it for the beta builds, that would be Zedd's area of expertise. He gave me the xbe's for this on the normal halo, and it works on some modded mappacks also. You may wont to pm him, if you don't hear from him, pm me and i can get you what you need for the normal halo 1, non alpha/betas etc

A thing I've wanted to do for a while. My custom nodes are not being displayed due to an error but you get the idea.

You can send plugins to me directly, or create a pull request on github.

Ah, finally to start modding Halo again. I missed those Halo2x days. Latest Assembly version works great. Although, seems there are a lot of undocumented values in some tags (like ligh), so I am updating those plugins... not sure the best way to share updated plugins these days? Also, since Korn hasn't stopped by Halomods in forever, is this site and r/halomods the only places where actual mod devs tend to live?

Lots of people seem unable to figure out how to compile Assembly, although its literally at the bottom of the Read-me
    Other things you might have to do;
    - Install Expression Blend SDK for .NET 4, as stated in the Readme
    - Pretty sure no one is technically allowed to distribute xdevkit.dll, which is part of the reason you shouldn't go publicly uploading a compiled Assembly with that DLL. So I just removed functions and references of it, not hard since VS will tell you where to find them all.
    - I use VS Studio 2017, had to retarget the solution to my build tools version. No issues.
    - Make sure you build Win64 Release version, if you build 32bit, you can't poke the 64 bit game.
(to be frank, if you can't figure stuff like this out, of which can be figured out by Googling, you probably are not going to have a fun time trying to figure out modding Halo)

You must patch and use an english version of the game.

Honestly the only person I know that could honestly help here would prob be gamecheat. I didn't have a Xbox One at the time the exploit was made. Gamecheat is the only person i've really seen show off gamesave modding on that dash and stuff.

I'm giving the Brutes a new weapon in Halo Reach Evolved: The Brute Plasma Spate. Unlike the regular version, it fires in slow 4-round bursts, is much less accurate, and isn't as heat-efficient, but it makes up for it with tremendous stopping power.

For Halo 3, you have to atleast have a modded 360.

Something I've been wanting to try out for several years, thought MCC on PC might be a good way to kick start it.
    Here's a hint:

I'm pretty sure the entire halo modding scene is going to come together, bend the engine over backwards and give it a royal thrashing.

    New release for Xbox:
    HALO: COVENANT EDITION
    Current version: v1.7
Play as a grunt in Halo campaign - fight marines alongside your covenant allies.

    Features:
-play as a grunt on Covenant team
    -spawn with covenant encounters
    -fight against marines
    -fight with allies
-can use all weapons and vehicles
    -uses player walking physics
    -player has shields
-press white to say a taunt
    -new cutscenes and intro
    -Easter eggs
    -new colours for grunts
    -respawning enemies
    -new battles and encounters
-see covenant in idle state and explore
    Update features:
    -new health system
    -hidden bosses
    -bug fixes and other content

This map pack radically changes the dynamic of Halo's campaign. You will spawn as a grunt among your allies and make your way through what is now allied territory to seek battle. You fight marines and flood along-side your covenant allies. There are less battles but the battles that are there are much bigger and can theoretically last hours. Marines use different weapons and tactics which make for interesting fights. Each level should be beatable but you must meet a condition, i.e. defeat all enemies, hit a switch, or reach the end of a timer. For example, to beat a50 you need to kill Captain Keyes and wait.

I left the multiplayer option in the menu so that you can use your favorite Halo Grunty Party Pack maps there. I might still do a multiplayer AI pack to go with this so stay tuned. Also note a30.map has two versions. Just rename the maps to use.

These are a couple of previews for a Reach campaign mod that I'm working on (haven't thought of a name just yet) that will take queues from the original trilogy of Halo games, as well as some liberties that I plan to throw into the mix. Examples include the lack of Armor Ability use except for the Jetpacks on Exodus, increased base speed and jump height, the visual tweaking of Noble Team and the Elites, and a whole suite of weapon changes that will drastically affect how the game is played.
I'll be making a main post on here once all of the changes that I want to make for the campaign is done.

This mappack was created by me and @ISOCheated. I hope you all enjoy, however expect bugs and what not. This mappack is nowhere near perfect.
It does contain some maps from other mappacks, however this project was just something for me and @ISOCheated to do in our free time.

[The mappack was originally a blast from the past re-creating the mimesis mappack that was released in mappack/patch/and dlc form. However I can not guarantee every map from the original mimesis is in this pack]

Keep in mind we are pretty new to halo 2 modding to this extent. I even created my own map in this pack and fixed up a few maps which had blackholes.
Also keep in mind that I apologize for the mainmenu music, injecting new music kept breaking the mainmneu (I created the mainmenu from scratch at least 6-7times). We do not plan on doing any bug fixes, mostly because some maps are "Protected" meaning they won't open in any editor or will error out upon opening them. So please keep a open mind when playing this mappack. This was our first time really modding halo 2, besides you know basic stuff back in the day.

The judge mentality of this whole situation is absurd. Does not matter if it's simple, does not matter if it's hard, THE FACT is he got encouraged to go tag inject and make a map. The negativity will ruin this community and push those who are willing to learn and try harder away. You guys have almost pushed me away SEVERAL times, just out of the unneeded negativity that was blasted at me. Does not matter if the mod is creative or not creative, the fact is that he is trying, Shouldn't that be all that matters? Yes it should be. Don't put somebody on blast even if their map isn't as good as what yours would be. This commuinity is not as awhole about being judgemental towards others, I can understand saying Hey add more stuff or hey i encourage you to do something better to the map? It sounds better that way and its in a positive way instead of saying *Hey, this map is garbage and pointless, this is just a cluttered download to the site, Oh get real and have some heart.

You do know he is talking about his modded *Sandbox/Sandtrap* map right? He is not referring to GameCheat's ai playground
Way to criticize, maybe it's his first tag injected map and wanted to release it so people could play it?
You may not see a point, there may not be a point at all.
Does their have to be a point just to have fun and play the map? I think not.

don't even bother asking how the hell i managed to make this work. getting truth/hood in the room with everybody was a nightmare. they all use the same cinematic anchor coordinate which made it hard to move truth without moving everybody else but i found a way.  and brought the entire inamberclad_bridge in there also LOL

Well first off, your question is indifferent. You run assembly on your computer as well as xbox 360 neighborhood. You can not put those programs on a usb and use them on your xbox, that is not how that works at all. I'm glad you admitted to being a newb. We all gotta start somewhere. Anyways we can not link you or tell you where you can buy a modded xbox as it's against the rules (Unless rules have changed) I don't get on here much anymore. I would recommend shops on Se7ensins (not posting links).  Once you get a jtag/rgh (I recommend a rgh). Once you get one, you will need to learn how to flash your nand on your xbox 360 (depending on dashboard number). I can't remember which dashboard is not compatible with halo 3 and up. If there is a non-compatible dash number. You will also have to learn how to use assembly and xbox 360 neighborhood (Both can be a pain in the ass). You will also need xexmenu and dashlaunch on your modded xbox 360 and learn how to use them. I'm not going step by step because it would be the longest thing you have ever read in the history of ever. Youtube is your best friend on learning how to use those xbox 360 apps, and pc programs. After all of that you would have to setup dashlaunch to work with xbox 360 neighborhood, via plugins. Then you would need to extract the halo 3 iso to a folder on the root of your xbox 360 harddrive. You would then need to know which version of halo 3 you want to use via a halo 3 title update. Unlike some I always recommend the latest game update, as it's the most stable and there was a update for a reason. After that you would need to remove crc checks from the halo 3 default.xex (you can use lord zedds tool to remove crc checks and other features from the xex + add features to the xex). If you don't know how to do that (assuming you don't), if you make it this far you are doing great (i'm meaning after you got a rgh/jtag xbox 360 and learned how to do the rest above). Anyways the tool comes with a tut on how to remove crc checks and such from the xex. Now you would need to put the new default.xex back in the halo 3 folder. Now you are ready to mod halo 3! Go ahead and download and install halo 3 mods/modded maps. Most mods come with a tut on how to install them. Now if you want to make your own halo 3 mods. There are tons of tuts on this site that covers the basics up to the hardest part of halo 3 modding. But to your question, starting out modding with a rgh/jtag and how to set it up can be very very hard. Luckily for me starting out I watched hours and hours of tuts and videos. And my friend had a rgh so I was able to play on it first hand and learned the do's and don'ts of what you can and can't do with a modded xbox 360.  I actually tore 2 rgh's up flashing the nand incorrectly and from a chip burning out. A modded xbox 360 is very fragile. Make sure it's always cool no matter what. Make sure you always install trusted plugins when using dashlaunch (some fake plugins/clone plugins can cause fuses to blow and instantly give your modded xbox RRoD). Anyways youtube would be more help. If you wanna attempt to rgh/jtag a xbox 360 yourself by all means go ahead, I will say this it's not easy starting out. Personally I have no clue how to, and will not attempt it. I've had enough issues just flashing xbox dvd drives as is lmao. Anyways the best bet would be to buy a pre-modded xbox 360. So good luck! Hopefully this helps you understand a little of what you are getting into. and lastly, no talk of modding online or anything on this site. Keep it local play modding only!
