  1. I unfortunately missed the deadline for uploading the game types onto reach mcc and I’m wondering if there’s a way to get the game types on the game externally on the Xbox and distribute it. For some reason no one has any of the modded game types or they don’t have them on their file Share. Thanks in advance!
  2. Hello everybody. Ksoft seems to work fine on modifying gametypes on MCC PC insider. You can modify gametypes in this directory. The only issue is ksoft is only working on windows 8. I have tried a lot to get it working on windows 10 including compatibility mode. Can any of you get it to work? Its very inconvenient to boot up virtual box every time I want to compile a gametype. Latest MCC dev blog shares details about all gametypes and maps placed in users fileshare on Xbox 360 being transferred to MCC, which will occur once (most likely) in a 24hr period, for each file type respectively. Now is the time! Gather as much worthwhile modded gametypes as possible and upload to your fileshare so we can bring it all over to MCC.
  4. What is this? These are Xex patches which will add debug output to Reach's scripts. At the moment they have two main features. Whenever Reach's "print" script function is called, its message string is intercepted and printed on the Debugger running on your PC. Secondly, these patches can also activate and modify the debug camera. It will now display the last printed message. Even when you are not connected to a debugger, you should now be able to keep track of what's going on behind the scenes. Demonstration: Some possible use cases: Debugging custom scripts: Just Include some "print" instructions in your script and find out if and when your code is executed. Script Research: Open a complicated, decompiled script file on your PC. Now play through the corresponding mission on your console and watch the debug output. By searching for the messages in the file, you can quite easily follow the control flow and find out which functions are called at what points during the mission. Disclaimer: My understanding of PowerPC assembly and the xbox360's inner workings is very limited. Not much testing has went into this project. Even though I haven't encountered any issues so far, it is possible that these patches could negatively impact the game's performance. Please use them at your own risk. Requirements: A Xbox 360 with debugging capabilities. This means you need a XDK or at least a hacked console running RGLoader. DevTool, developed by Eaton: https://eaton-works.com/devtool/ Usage: Start your console and connect it to your debugger. I have only tested WinDbg so far, but Visual Studio should also work. Start Halo Reach. Open Devtool and switch to the Patching tab. Copy the entire text of the patch of your choice and paste it into DevTool's Textbox. Please make sure to use a patch corresponding to your games version (NoTU / TU1). Press the "Compile and Write" button. Wait until a prompt appears, asking you if you want to apply the patch to memory. Accept it. Optional: In the scnr tag of your .map, set all script globals, which are boolean and contain the word "debug" to true. This will ensure that all your map's print instructions will be called. Note: In theory it should also be possible to permanently apply these patches to your Xex using XePatcher. Strangely enough I never managed to get the changes to stick, which has frustrated me more than I am willing to admit. If you get it to work, please let me know.     UPDATE: The crash caused by microphone proximity settings in xenia has been fixed, normal patched xex files will work fine for xenia now. I'd recomend Zedd's blue flames patch. The original reach unlock tool, uploading in case anyone needs it for modding with xenia. Xenia does not fair well with Zedd's unlock patch so until the emulator is up to speed this can remove the map checks. Launch with the -ignore parameter to ignore file checks and apply changes anyway. Includes XeXTool.

    Well oddly enough theres no selection for Halo Online :? But anyway, I've been having an issue. I've been searching forum after forum for a solution When i try extracting tags or altering a map through assembly (I wanna inject the pelican into several maps for gametypes) It says,"file not supported ms23" Although, as far as I know the halo online maps are just ported halo 3 maps. WHICH IS SUPPORTED. So what do i do? Or should I just abandon hope and go back to my RGH XD Any helpful input would be great, thanks modders.

I was going through websites trying to find Beta builds of Halo 3 (which I didn't find pls help) then I came across this Fan-made halo game unreleased beta build, I'll be more than happy to share the copy of the beta build just message me on twitter @Cserleo Pretty sure it's the exact same game as "Halo: Zero" The main objectives are; Mission 1- Kill the first wave of grunts (do not allow them to reach the captain). Mission 2- Infiltrate the chemical plant silently. You can trigger only 3 alarms. Mission 3- Kill the Giant Elite. You can also use the tank situated at the end of the area. Mission 4- Use the warthog to jump over the chemical boxes then kill floods using the flamethrower. Mission 5- Retrieve the ID tags owned by the infected marines. Mission 6- Same as mission 5. System requirements; Best performing requirements are at least a 1,4 Ghz processor and 256 Mb of RAM. It runs at a 512 X 384 resolution in full screen.

  15. Hey my name is Waffle and I am an avid Halo 3/ODST/Reach tricker. The unexplored areas that are left are pretty hard though, and to test some hypothetical ideas we wanted to use liberty. However, I dont believe it is supported anymore, and it seems like microsoft broke it. I was wondering if there is any porgram similar to it that we can use? All we need is the coordinate spawner to help us test out ideas like getting into the floodgate cutscene rooms and other things. Thanks

  18. when i edit the phmo tag to change the physics model why dose it only take effects after the bypid's die like use the hlmt tag then find elite then change the phmo to lets say he is an elite ill change his physics model to a hat but it wont effect the elite till he is dead he will roll around and go crazy but while his ai is active it wont effect him ?

    OK so i was trying to add the spire pelican mod. And i was using assembly. But once i had finished the mod and put the make back into the reach folders and started the spire map it says my disk needs cleaning. I have an RGH with freestyle 3.
