.map Help?

12 posts in this topic

I just recently made my first JTAG so I need a little help getting .map mods.

Here's what I downloaded - http://www.xboxchaos.com/files/file/121-halo-reach-gamenight-files-4132013/ I'm using the green_halo.asmp.

So once I downloadable and extracted that I open my Halo: Reach files and Assembly and I go to map patcher and here's how I set it up.

http://imageshack.us/f/20/6kfg.png/

I'll explain quickly Patch I use is the green_halo.

unmodified map is a copy of forge world I put on my desktop.

output map is called green_halo in my Halo: Reach maps folder.

I also checked the patch extras.

But when I boot up the game I don't see anything. I'm not sure what's suppose to happen but I think is that a new map should appear in the list of maps. Can someone Help me?

Uhh can you help me with the TU1.rar one? I copy my title updates from F3 but xextool says its not the correct update.

Did you get the right TU that matches your media ID? To find out the Media ID of you game get a tool called abgx (Find it by a quick Google search) run the default.xex of the game you want the media ID for. Then match up that media ID with the one on the download list on marketplace.jqe360.

The bat file in my rar prints the mediaids for you, actually.

ok, i am new to asll of this, how do i extract asmp and how do i inject it to my xbox?????

You need to have the map you want to play the patch on. The .map file you need ex) forge_halo is Forge World. located in "Halo Reach/maps" Use XexMenu to extract the .map by going into the disc and paste it into a usb. Or use Xbox 360 Neighborhood/something similar.

Download the release version of Assembly. Open Assembly up and head to the map patcher in "Tools". The rest is self explanatory. Make sure you patch your xex so the all checks are removed with Lord Zedd's blue flames patch.

Assembly: https://github.com/XboxChaos/Assembly/releases

Patch: http://www.xboxchaos.com/files/file/60-halo-reach-blue-flames-xex-ppf-patches/
