Is it possible to use Specialization mods in Game loadouts, or are they restricted to Personal loadouts?

You can use any armor mod in traits and/or loadouts including ones you get from completing a specialization. Support upgrades and tactical packages are interchangeable too so you can have two support upgrades or tactical packages at the same time.

Look for <capg name="globals\custom_app_globals"> in Halo4_Xbox_megalo.xml for a list.

Hmmm... does this have to do with applying the armor mods directly, or using their related traits?

There's some armor mod traits unavailable in Horizon, so I was under the assumption that we couldn't reproduce every single one through player traits. Specialization mods don't show up in the Tactical Package/Support Upgrade options in game loadouts/player traits on Horizon either. This is of great interest to me, as I (with some help) plan to create gametypes which apply armor mod traits to AAs & a select few of weapons, that affect players when equipped, and mods applied to AAs will also use proximity/bro traits.

Are you apart of the team working on the upcoming gametype editor GS/Nitrogen? If so, any chance it will make every mod available in game loadout mod options/player traits (particularly from a GUI), or still too soon to share any details on it yet?

I'm talking about actually giving specialization upgrades to players in game loadouts. Just because Horizon doesn't have it doesn't mean it's impossible. ;)

The source code to Nitrogen is available on GitHub right now but I'll post an official announcement sometime later this week when a basic GUI is available. If the game supports it, the editor will support it too.

You won't be able to do much with gametypes at the moment so it's not worth posting an announcement.

So you guys still need to work on it... fair enough then. Any idea if we can expect a release soon?

There's no way to know exactly when it'll be finished. You can follow the project on GitHub to keep up with the progress.

Anyone has the valid KSoft entries fir the armor mods?

This way I can apply them via player traits.

Tactical Package/Support Upgrade Trait Values, converted to KSoft player trait entries (Includes Fast Track & Recharge).

Edit: Fixed Drop Recon values, Resupply & Stealth confirmed.

If anyone's interested, I've converted the proximity trait radius units to meters. Feel free to add this into gametypes using bro traits.

I'm not sure if I have the correct drop recon. It's possible I got it wrong and that they buffed it.

I was wrong, it was buffed.
