Test kit to full XDK

13 posts in this topic

hey, i've been doing some reading and supposedly it is possible to convert a test kit into a full dev kit? if so, anyone know how to and care on explaining?
Not much on google or i just haven't been looking hard enough maybe. Already been a post here regarding it before hand http://www.xboxchaos.com/topic/3304-convert-test-kit-to-xdk/ but isn't much help.
I'd ask bigger sites like 7s or something but they're just bunch of trolls and knob's picking fights.

thanks.

Test kits can be converted to Dev Kits by flashing them with a dev nand or running an xex to patch it. You maybe able to find a Dev Kit nand if you ask an owner of an XDK.

Well if you have a backup of your nand you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Well, I wouldn't say that.  There are a few eFuse blowing xex's out there.

If you do not want to run the xex then you can just do this:

Test to Dev Conversion
1. Creat .ini file called: recint.ini
2. Paste:
[xbdm]
drivemap internal=1
3. Transfer to flash of xdk
4. Reboot Console

PS after running a recovery you will have to
repeat the process.

I never knew that.  I figured it isn't very complicated.
