Lowering Weapon GameType

Hello everyone I just thought of an idea and wanted to see if its possible. Seeing as how we use Ksoft to make gametype that make us spawn with no weapons or weapons that are not in game but hidden in code. I was thinking, since lowering our weapons for machinemas is a command in the game but only for offline use. Is it possible to find that coding for the command and enable it to our players so our weapons are already lowered at the beginning of a game?

Well actually you should code it so you can lower your weapon at any time "online" especially for youtubers to make  machinima's, also I don't think it matters on what halo game.

Not possible unfortunately. KSoft can manipulate anything that's possible in a gametype. Lowering of weapons is handled at the core game engine level (as opposed to the gametype engine, which is only a part of the core game engine). Halo's gametype scripting language, Megalo, has no way of accessing anything outside of what's needed for gametypes.

 

The only real solution is for machinima directors to shoot as much as possible with online friends, then shoot their lowered weapons scenes on their local 360.

Again... you could swap the players weapon on tick and it might make you go deaf and look a little funny but it would get close to what you want.

Hey Cashew, couldn't you use the turret build/base capture technique? In salvation you had weapon dispensers. Is it possible to activate those based on a hill type trigger? Say, instead of holding the use button to activate it, just walk into the zone to activate it?
