Halo 5 gametype names use some kind of markup language?

5 posts in this topic

So Zany from halodestiny.net (a french website, i'm not advertising, i promise, just giving credit) posted pics of him manipulating gametype names, like this:

I tried doing some things myself but never got it to work, tried using HTML, CSS, and XML's syntax but I kept getting 'markup block not found'. when I didn't close tags I got 'closing markup not found' or for CSS 'closing bracket not found', and not opening tags gave me a different error too. the <font> tag works but changing size/color seems to do nothing (but it changes the font of it regardless of what you do)...

I have little knowledge of html/css/xml or whatever and want to know if anyone here knows whats up?

The game uses Scaleform to render its UI, meaning that the menu was built with Flash. I don't know a whole lot about it, but apparently there's some sort of markup that they can use to decorate text fields and they aren't sanitizing gametype names. It's not full HTML/CSS or anything.

mods don't always need jtags. i'm guess it is either via halo waypoint or some OneDrive sorcery
